SCRAP METALS ARE DIVIDED INTO TWO MAJOR CATEGORIES “FERROUS” AND “NON – FERROUS”

FERROUS : Is scrap metal primarily containing iron and steel.
Example ....:Scrap iron / Steel automobiles / Farm equipment / Household appliances / Structural steel

NON FERROUS : Non Ferrous scrap metal is scrap metal other than iron and steel containing little iron or steel.
Example : Aluminum / Copper / Zinc / Lead / Nickel is also characterized as either obsolete or industrial
